Dr. James Huang
Owner & Lead Dentist in Dublin CA
For over 16 years, Dr. Huang has helped families with all their dental needs, practicing compassionate, comprehensive dentistry. Always putting his patients first means he was never satisfied just learning the fundamentals. After graduating from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, he has continued to expand his knowledge to provide world-class dental services to his patients, including dental implants, crowns, & root canal therapy. His goal is to exceed modern dentistry’s standards and take it to a whole new level, delivering results his patients are thrilled with.

Dr. Carolyn Chang
Associate Dentist
Dr. Carolyn Chang received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University School of Dentistry with honors in removable prosthodontics.
She completed her residency at the VA Medical Center in Palo Alto, CA, where she further enhanced her skills in implant dentistry, oral surgery, and prosthodontics while providing the best care for our veterans.
Dr. Carolyn is passionate about delivering the highest quality dental care to her patients and is actively pursuing continuing education. She is currently an active member in multiple dental societies, including:
- Academy of Osseointegration, California Dental Association, Santa Clara County Dental Society.
- Dr. Carolyn enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and watching cooking shows in hopes of becoming a Star Baker one day.
Dr. Dominique Pham
Associate Dentist
Dr. Pham was born and raised in the East Bay. She attended UC San Diego for her undergraduate degree, earning a Bachelor of Science in General Biology, and completed a post-baccalaureate at California State University, East Bay. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Midwestern University in Arizona, where she graduated with honors and received the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Chapter Award and International College of Dentists Student Leadership Award.
Dublin Dentist Dr. Pham has volunteered in dental work in Samoa and Tonga and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. In her free time, Dr. Pham enjoys spending time with her dog and finding the next best thing to watch on Netflix.

Dr. Joan Chung
Associate Dentist
Dr. Joan Chung grew up in the metro Atlanta area of Georgia before moving to the Bay Area after college to attend the University of California, San Francisco, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2017. As a dentist, Dr. Joan utilizes a practical approach to oral health treatment and stresses the importance of preventive care. She is a member of the California Dental Association, Santa Clara County Dental Society, and Southern Alameda County Dental Society.
In her free time, Dr. Joan enjoys travelling the world with her husband, pampering her dogs, and decorating her house.

Dr. Victor Hwang
DDS, MS, Endodontist
Dr. Victor Hwang is a native of the East Bay Area. He was born in San Francisco and raised in Walnut Creek. He received his BS in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at UCLA as an undergraduate. He attended Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery. He decided to pursue further training in dentistry by completing a fellowship in Advanced Education of General Dentistry at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
He returned to the Bay Area to practice full-time as a general dentist in private practice for about 3 years in Pleasant Hill, California. During that period, he also served as a part-time clinical instructor at the UCSF School of Dentistry. After practicing general dentistry, he discovered his passion for endodontics.
He continued his training and received his endodontic specialty certificate from the New York University College of Dentistry in New York City. He is currently a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the California Dental Association, and the Southern Alameda Dental Society.
He was President of the Northern California Academy of Endodontists (NCAE) in 2016 after serving on the board for the previous 3 years. His special interests in dentistry and endodontics are chronic pain. Along with practicing full-time in endodontics, he recently earned his master’s degree in Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine from the University of Southern California. He is an associate member of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain.
Dr. H. Brian Sun
DMD, MS
Dr. H Brian Sun, DMD, MS, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Western University of Health Sciences, a Clinical Instructor at the University of Pacific Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and a former scientist of the UCLA Center for Oral/Head & Neck Oncology Research. He is an active surgeon-scientist with dozens of authorships in journals, textbooks, and reference books.
In his free time, Dr. Sun enjoys classical music, fast cars, and spending time with his lovely family.
Dr. Gene Allen Herrera
DDS, MAGD, DABOI, DICOI, AFAAID
Dr. Herrera is a graduate of the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. He is Board-Certified in implant dentistry and has broad knowledge and experience in all phases of general and cosmetic dentistry, including bone and gum grafts, crowns, dentures, orthodontics, including Invisalign (clear braces), and Short-Term Orthodontics (fast braces for adults), root canals, and extractions.
His passion for dentistry and dedication to his patients are evident the moment you meet him. He enjoys working with children, treating whole families and believes in letting his patients make educated decisions regarding their oral health. His approach to your treatment starts with patiently listening to you. Then, after a complete and thorough examination, a personalized treatment plan is prepared for you.
His professional service includes active membership in several respected dental organizations. His achievements include a Mastership Award, the highest level of achievement in dentistry, from the Academy of General Dentistry. He has also received a Diplomate Award, the highest level of competency, from the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and a Fellowship Award from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is a former instructor and Master’s Graduate of the California Implant Institute.
A San Francisco Bay Area native, our Dublin dentist, Dr. Herrera, graduated from San Francisco State University with degrees in Biology (Physiology) and Chemistry. Together with his wife and two sons, they enjoy movies, game time, and outdoor activities. He’ll probably tell you about his latest weekly hike on Mt. Diablo or how he’s training for his next 50K Ultra-Obstacle Race. His other hobbies include martial arts and building robots. Also a long-time fan of the Star Wars movies, Dr. Herrera built a life-size, functional R2-D2, complete with working gadgets and gizmos. When asked what motivated him to take on such an endeavor… “I rebuild teeth and smiles for a profession – building a robot was just a natural extension of that passion!”. Dr. Herrera is always tinkering with R2-D2.
